I decided the only way to celebrate the best tomato of the season was to turn it into bruschetta. This was the big one in the previous tomato post and I have to say it was the best tomato i've ever eaten! Next season i'm going to be prepared and every tomato will be like this one.
As for the Romas, only bacon and chilli can create the ideal framing device.

Peaches
A furry visitor.
Its official, cats love gardening. Perhaps that's why I like gardening so much. This scruffy thing lives across the street and came over to visit while I was planting a summer cover crop where the peas were. He or she was very interested in the process and also happened to have seriously sharp teeth! I wish we could have Sam out the front, but for now he is limited to spying on us through the ventilation grates from under the house.
