Raspberry Curd Tart

I've been wanting to try raspberry curd for a while but I wasn't sure if it would work on its own with plain shortcrust. I came across a site with a picture of raspberry curd with a chocolate pastry and realised that someone else had already solved the problem. It was hard to find a good chocolate shortcrust recipe but i think i did. I have a spare shell which will be filled with orange curd tonight, choc/orange, a winning combination

Fig Scrumping

While dropping off the lawn mower for servicing the other day I came across a magnificent Fig tree growing in the corner of someones front yard. I'm pretty sure its a Brown Turkey and I was lucky enough to find it complete with ripe figs. People looked on with suspicion through their curtains as I took some photos and picked a couple of the fruit. Soon winter will come, the leave of this tree will drop and I will return in the dead of night to take cuttings to propagate.
